Unlocking the Keys to Successful Remarketing

We interviewed Devin Farley, Manager of Remarketing Solutions at Holman, one of

Aspen's valued partners in remarketing. In our discussion, we covered key points

about the remarketing process, asset liquidation, and how companies can navigate

these challenges efficiently.

Who is Holman and what services do you provide for companies needing to remarket/resell assets?:

Holman is a global automotive company with a nationally recognized remarketing team focused on maximizing the resale values of every asset we manage.

We are a solution company with multiple ways of helping customers needing to liquidate inventory:

  • We remarket repossessions through a network of auctions that we matrix

performance monthly. Use our fully compliant and transparent inventory portal to track every decision we make from transport to sale.

  • We have our own Holman Equipment Direct online weekly auction for the disposal needs of commercial equipment such as: forklifts, trailers, heavy duty trucks, and all the specialty type items and non-titled assets that businesses need to operate day to day.

  • We remarket through a “BUYDIRECT” program where businesses in need of cash flow can receive funding for most units within 3 days of offer.

  • We handle investment wind-downs where mobility assets need liquidation.

What is the process for companies needing assets repossessed?:

We provide every client a login to our inventory portal/repossessions. Once a vehicle is entered our account team takes over applying specific strategic asset remarketing strategies and principle’s to every asset that help impact the net returns (ROI analysis, appraisal, etc)

What about companies that lease equipment or that own it outright

that need help with remarketing; how does that work?:

There are various solutions based on the needs of the company but understanding exact specifications of equipment assets, having a large robust buyer base interested in purchasing equipment, and an expert team with the knowledge to close sales are a few of the important components of a strong equipment

remarketing strategy.

When it comes to supporting lenders or financial institutions when their clients go through, particularly when it comes to liquidating mobile assets or equipment, whether court-ordered or voluntary, how do companies like Holman help maximize recovery?

Our remarketing solutions fit most needs and our team and brand are known to maximize every dollar to help alleviate the burdens of bankruptcy. We measure everything including the auctions in our network to ensure best in class results.

Why Inspections Are the Backbone of Remarketing Success:

Before an asset ever makes it to auction, to market, or to a potential buyer, one crucial step can make or break its value: the inspection. Accurate, timely inspections allow remarketers to confidently represent condition, improve asset disposition, and avoid costly surprises for both sellers and buyers.

Whether it’s understanding equipment condition post repo, prepping assets for resale, or evaluating high-value units during liquidation, inspections lay the groundwork for trust and efficiency in the remarketing lifecycle.
